WHAT ARE parents SAYING ABOUT DESIGNX programs?
I just wanted to thank you for providing my daughter, Ellie Leyvand with an outstanding camp experience. She told me that this is one of her all time favorite camps. We initially signed up for one week and I am so happy that it worked out that we were able to add two more weeks. I can't wait until she's old enough to do architecture!
-BEAU L., July 2020.
My daughter really enjoyed her first DesignX camp this summer. We referred a friend to try the camp on a different week, and she loved it too! Next summer, the girls want to go back to DesignX together! Thanks for providing great camps for girls!
-KAY C., JULY 2019
My daughter loves the skirt she made at Design X camp (2019). And I love seeing the sense of pride she has when she wears it. We have recommended Design X camp to others and hope to see it continue to thrive and grow.
-Tracy C., AUG 2019
Thank you for the time you spent with Addie on her projects this summer. She enjoyed the week learning to make both soft and wood toys.
-AMANDA Z., JULY 2019
Kiyomi is still using the skirt and belt she made in camp last summer and loves sharing with others that she made them! We were impressed with the quality and appreciate that the instructors provided robust support of her fledgling sewing skills to help her turn her design dreams into reality. It really fostered a positive sense of sewing and creating, which I appreciate as I hope this becomes a life-long hobby and skill.
-MARCY M., FEB 2018
I was pleasantly surprised by how much the camp achieved in 3 days (short week-fashion illustration and prototyping) and how enthusiastic my daughter, Sophia, was coming home and talking about it. She is already asking for attending it next year. I think the camp definitely sparked her inner design passion.
-SNOW W., JULY 2017
Nika's been enjoying the program very much that she's asked if she could stay ALL day.
-PEGAH S., JULY 2017
Thank you so much for organizing this amazing camp, My daughter Atalia loved it so much and looking forward to coming back next year.
-SHAMI M., JUNE 2017
THIS PROGRAM (DESIGNX COMPANY) GIVES KIDS THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO EXPRESS THEIR CREATIVITY. IT’S A WONDERFUL PROGRAM AND OUR DAUGHTER LOVED IT!
-MICHELLE C., MAY 2017
When I heard DezignKidz was shutting down, my two girls were really bummed out because they have been attending summer camps there for the past 7 years. But thank goodness Durga has started DesignX. They have many of the same classes as DezignKidz and my children loved learning how to use the sewing machine. We shall be there again this summer and next year my littlest one will be old enough to join the fun. Yeah!
-MELISSA H., MAY 2017

THE designx COMMUNITY
Are you a young, aspiring toy designer in the Bay Area, CA, wondering where to start your creative journey? Look no further, because DesignX offers a unique opportunity for…
Embarking on a journey to become a professional fashion designer is an exciting venture that requires dedication, creativity, and the right educational foundation.
Our programs are meticulously crafted to guide young minds through the intricate world of architectural design, blending key concepts with hands-on experiences to create a comprehensive learning journey.
In a world overflowing with excess and waste, fashion upcycling emerges as a beacon of sustainability and creativity.
As we reflect on the transformative events of 2020, we at DesignX are inspired to both acknowledge the progress we've made and the long journey still ahead in achieving societal equity.
The DesignX team hosted a station of fashion fun with plenty of brightly colored fabrics and accessories. Kids and teens were encouraged to let their creative juices flow and design their own clothing creations.
At DesignX, we believe that every day is an opportunity to celebrate and care for our beautiful planet, not just on Earth Day. With the growing awareness of environmental sustainability, it's essential to recognize the significant impact our daily choices have on Mother Earth.
As our time in quarantine and athleisure begins to come to an end, I'm thinking a lot about what I will carry forward from this strange year. There are a few things from this pandemic era that were actually encouraging and thought provoking that I think should be valued and taken forward with us.
Finding creative solutions to the world’s most pressing sustainability issues includes instilling the right values in the rising generation. DesignX weaves up-cycling themes throughout it’s offerings, committed to informing and educating kids, our future, the value of responsible consumption and production.
Fashion and art have always been part of former DesignX student, Amanda's, natural self-expression. She began fashioning and or, re-fashioning clothes as a kid. She'd frustrate her mother when she'd cut up her own clothes. She attended our fashion design summer programs and the fashion show got her hooked.
